Here's my easy recipe for this heavenly sweets.
You'll need: 5 whole eggs (yes,WHOLE eggs) 1 (235ml) big can of condensed milk 1 small can of evaporated milk sugar for caramelization How to: 1.Caramelized sugar directly on the llanera on a VERY low fire to prevent it from burning. *you can add small amount of water if you're having hard time melting the sugar. 2.Whisk the eggs. Add milk over the egg. Stir. 3.Strain the milk-egg mixture using cheese cloth or even just the regular strainer that you have in the kitchen. 4.Put the mixture on the prepared llanera and steam. Cooking time depends on the size of the llanera you used. If the mixture is no longer jiggly, it's ready. Another way is to insert toothpick on the flan, if it comes out clean, then it's time to dig in. Enjoy! :) |
